Shepards Pie
2 large onions, finely
chopped 1 lb. lean ground
beef (I Perfer beef cubes...very small ones) 1 tsp.
salt 1 tsp.
thyme 1/4 tsp.
pepper 1/2 cup undiluted
consomme 2 cups mashed
potatoes Preheat oven to 350
F Grease a 1-2 quart
casserole In a
frying pan, heat butter until foamy; add onions and cook until
transparent. Add ground and cook and stir until browned. Season with
salt, thyme and pepper. Blend in consomme and
turn into prepared casserole. Spoon mashed potatoes over the top.
Bake in oven for
30 minutes or until potatoes begin to
brown.
